any clues on multi-pass render out of C4D with Vray? Do you have to use internal C4D multipass setting with the Post Effect – option activated? Last time i tried it only seemed to work that way? Cheers :)
yes you use C4D's MultyPass but only whit RGBA & Post Effects
Ah i see, thank you:) Have you tried the C4Ds net with Vray as well? I have two machines at home and i really should get into it :)
no actuality .. you can try and tell me :) ..AFAIK it works with Vray
Yeah, i'm getting a new machine soona and that's going to be some horsepower combined with my other one ;) And i'm definetely going to try it :)
Can we get this sample files…?
you mean the scene ?
Thanks for showing the vray multipass setup :)
thanks gustaira .. also i recommend Auto ID plugin to randomize materials id's
sorry .. cant do !
Hi, I just did a setup you shown. but I didnt get normal shadow layer, its like mask… please help me:)
hmm … strange can you post a photo please .. and jive some details about the passes you used .. and also make sure you have the layer mode correct in photoshop
I don't know if its important, but i use C4d 11.5 and vray 126.96.36.199. Its a settings wich I used: http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x371/Andrius_Raudonikis/before.jpgHere's the result: http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x371/Andrius_Raudonikis/AFTER.jpgAnd in photoshop(this is from other angle, but the result is the same as first render):http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x371/Andrius_Raudonikis/in_photoshop.jpg
Maybe I make some silly mistakes, or is it other problems? I just want to get the shadow layer like you shown before (first in the row). thank you very much
oh i see .. its all good actuality but the first photo on the row is not a shadow pass .. its an AO pass done manually using vray dirt as override material .. just make a new advanced material with vray dirt and add it to the override slot in vray options :) .. if you like i would recored a quick video tut about that
also i recommend updating your vray to 1.2.6 for newer projects
No thank, dont waste you time for now. i will try to do it my self :) but if i have some problems i will post. and thanks for recomendations about updating. But maybe you know direct way to render a picture with a saparate smooth shadows? Because I just want to put shadows on my 2d plan, and architectural elevation. the friend of mine is rendering with c4d (without vray)and with multpass he get separate smooth shadows.
i did some tests to find a way but no luck .. AA is not supported .. i suppose the only way is to wait for 1.3 !
