One of the interesting new additions of VRayforC4D 1.8 is the integration of the VRay car paint Mtl which we can use for a variety of different objects and surfaces , watch this demo as we explore of of its options and make sure to grab the free Car paints Kit to get started with it .

100x thanks! ;)
Nice materials!!
Thanks alot!
Why dindn’t you make them work with DR?

Time constraints , v2 should be ready soon ( DR ready )
This is Great! You rock!
thanks a lot Josef!!! and for tutor too:)
Anybody find that on occasion the car paint slows the view port to a crawl even after its resolved? Also tested some of these with DR and they did work proper. Didn’t test them all.
Thank you very much for the wonderful effort
trying to open this file on new vray 1.9b (using the latest material previews), and it’s excruciatingly slow in the preview for the materials to the point that I can’t do anything. The main reason is that the mat previews are set to “medium” quality which is not optimized in the “official” mat preview scene from Stefan. I’m trying to change all the materials to “low” quality, and it has taken be 15 mins just to select them all and get to interface to respond accordingly. Am I the only one with this problem?
Also, as already noted - these shaders are not DR optimized - is that still planned Joseph? I’d make an attempt myself, except for the fact that I can’t even get to making even the smallest adjustment with my preview performance.
Shaders look great though (from what I see in the renders) - would love to be able to use them.

Hi , after some more work with the Car paint , it seems that the *flakes density have a huge impact on it due to that fact its constantly generating large bitmaps for the flakes ,
so reduce that for faster adjustments
Hi,
Thanks so much :-)
Amazing set of shaders! Thanks for sharing with us. Your products rock.
