any clues on multi-pass render out of C4D with Vray? Do you have to use internal C4D multipass setting with the Post Effect - option activated? Last time i tried it only seemed to work that way? Cheers :)

    I don't know if its important, but i use C4d 11.5 and vray 1.2.5.5. Its a settings wich I used: http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x371/Andrius_Raudonikis/before.jpg
    Here's the result: http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x371/Andrius_Raudonikis/AFTER.jpg
And in photoshop(this is from other angle, but the result is the same as first render):

Maybe I make some silly mistakes, or is it other problems? I just want to get the shadow layer like you shown before (first in the row). thank you very much

oh i see .. its all good actuality but the first photo on the row is not a shadow pass .. its an AO pass done manually using vray dirt as override material .. just make a new advanced material with vray dirt and add it to the override slot in vray options :) .. if you like i would recored a quick video tut about that

No thank, dont waste you time for now. i will try to do it my self :) but if i have some problems i will post. and thanks for recomendations about updating.
But maybe you know direct way to render a picture with a saparate smooth shadows? Because I just want to put shadows on my 2d plan, and architectural elevation. the friend of mine is rendering with c4d (without vray)and with multpass he get separate smooth shadows.

i did some tests to find a way but no luck .. AA is not supported .. i suppose the only way is to wait for 1.3 !
