Thanks a lot Josef
One question: Do you know what the “consider for antialiasing” is for?
You don’t turn it on here… but still your passes look smooth…
So what is the difference when that setting is on or off?

the AA filtering doesn’t effect object ID’s according to the manual , so i didn’t bother with them at the tutorial
Hello there,
I am looking for rendering an object on a transparent background with it’s shadow using cinema 4d and vray. Just like the one below.
http://3.s3.envato.com/files/65974531/mail%20box%20pr.jpg
How can I achieve this?

you can spit an object selection and a shadow pass maybe ? . you have to cut out the floor later in Photoshop and and keep the shadow pass
Thanks for the reply. So there is no proper way of rendering on a transparent background inside c4d.
That’s shame I think.
Great tutorial. I was having a hard time trying to figure this out and this explained it perfectly!
Thanks,
Ben

Can’t seem to render out material select or multimatte when using a blend material.
Anyone else finding this issue?
Thanks
